God. The Mar

Thoma Theological

Seminary

founded

in 1926

is rendering

unparalleled

service to the

Chwch by training

competent

and

committed

ministers

to translate

its vocation

to the

people

at the ecclesial

and in

public

spaces.

Greater sfides

have

been made

by the

seminary

since its foundation

become

one ofthe highly reputed

theological

institutions

India, under

the Serampore

University.

Seminary

follows a

curriculum which

gives

due importance

biblical

exposition,

theological

thinking,

liturgical practice

and

pastoral

aspects

of ministry

and trains and

equips the

candidates

to frce

the contemporary

challenges

of the

time. We

praise

God Aknighty

for His

abundant

blessing upon

the seminary

over

these

years.

Currently

sixty-nine

students

are doing

their B.D' studies

and 12 students

from

different

denominations

are

staying

on the campus

arut <toing

their

post-

graduate

and Doctoral

studies under

FFRRC.

COVID 19 Pandemic was

affected

all arenas

of human

existence

with

no exception

Seminary life

also. Like other

educational institutions

we were

also forced

to close down

tlrc

seminary

due to

COVID regulations

but

classes

were continued

through

online

platform.

September

24,2021,

regular

classes

were resumed

and

all the

students

are now staying in

the campus

and

pursuing

their

studies. I

do urge

the faithful

uphold

the Seminary

and its

ministry in

your

prayers

and support

Seminary.

The new

normal situation poses

serious

challenges

before

the church

and

theological

education

and

compels

to revisit our life

and routines. It

is th€ responsibility

ofthe

church

to equip

and

train ministers

to face

the challenges

the time

and to become effective

witnesses.

online courses

for

both theological

students

and laity

during

this

pandemic

period.

Seminary

in our

prayers

and to contribute

generously

to its needs.

The

economic impact

of Covid-I9

the seminary

was

very

heavy. The

palm

Sunday

Offertory in

the

years

2020 utd 2021

was

just

thirty percentage

the

year's

collection

because

of Covid

restrictions.

Seminary

needs a minimum

of60 lakhs

ofrupees

year

for its regular

running,

Due

to the severe

deficit

income

seminary hsd

to take

a loan of 20

lakhs

for

the running

expenses

in the

current year.

At the

same time

acknowledge

and thank

God for

those

parishes

that

took initiatives

to collect

money

even at

this diffrcult

time

support

seminary'
